Embraced Elements

2024
Bronze, oak branches, natural stone

The proximity of Drevviken to the species-rich and sensitive environment of Drevviken forms the basis for My Lindh’s work Omfamnade element (Embraced Elements). The work highlights the interaction between humans, animals and plants that share the space, and raises thoughts about the ecosystems that surround us.

Through elements of bronze, stone, wood and water, traces of nature are highlighted and linked to human movements – when someone opens a door, lights a lamp or moves through the area. The work consists of four parts – a water channel, a lamp, animal tracks and eight individual handles – which in different ways highlight the nature of the place and the creatures that inhabit it. With the work, the artist encourages us to turn our gaze towards the animals, plants and matter that share our space.
