Book release Train TV, 19/10 and 20/10 – 2016
In the summer of 2012, My Lindh realised an installation with the title Train TV (Tågteve) with the intention to transform the train window into a screen and the train journey into a film. The installation consisted in around thirty large scale signs, resembling as subtitles, placed out in the landscape along a 25 km long distance along the railway between Stockholm and Uppsala. The signs formed a poetic an fragmentary text that could be read in both directions.
Now, the book Train TV is released, where My Lindh continues the work in the form of a book. The book contains of a photo series of the signs in the landscape, and three essays that in different ways take their starting point in the work, written by Marianna Garin, curator and art historian, Khashayar Naderehvandi, poet and Monica Sand, artist and researcher.
